We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are

Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This is used to keep the website secure and working properly.
3. How we use your information
We only use your information where the law allows us to. The table below sets out what we use it for and our legal reason (“lawful basis”) for doing so.
| What we use it for | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry, calling you back, and giving you availability and prices | Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries |

| Letting existing customers know about future availability or offers similar to what they have booked | Our legitimate interests. You can opt out at any time. |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who we share your information with
We only share your information where it is needed to run our business, with:
- Our form provider. Our enquiry form is handled by a third-party form service, which passes your submission to us by email.
- Our website host and email provider. They store and deliver our website and emails.
- Our accountant and professional advisers. They need access for bookkeeping, tax and legal purposes.
- Regulators and authorities. We share information when the law requires it, for example with HMRC or the Advertising Standards Authority.
These organisations may only use your information on our instructions and must keep it secure.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may store information outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
6. How long we keep your information
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Customer and booking records, including invoices, are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Artwork is kept for the length of your campaign and for up to 12 months afterwards, so we can re-run it if you book again. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We store a small setting in your browser’s local storage to remember your cookie choice, so the notice doesn’t appear on every visit. This is strictly necessary and contains no personal information.
Our website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, your IP address is sent to Google so it can deliver them. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
To change your choice, clear this website’s stored data in your browser settings. The cookie notice will then appear again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies and stored data for any website through your browser settings.
If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
8. Keeping your information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections, password-protected accounts and limiting access to people who need it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information, where there is no good reason for us to keep it
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
- object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests, including for marketing
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation, where this applies
To use any of these rights, email questions@contractormedia.co.uk. There is normally no charge, and we will respond within one month.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will try to put things right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or call 0303 123 1113.
